This past weekend, the Crusaders volleyball team traveled to Pensacola Christian College of Florida to play in the Eagles Invitational tournament.  The Crusaders finished the weekend 2-2, which made their overall record 9-6. 

The first match on Saturday was against Clearwater Christian College.  The Crusaders struggled to find a grove and lost in three straight sets (25-11; 25-15; 25-13).  Shatoya Medford finished with 20 digs and 5 kills.  Victoria Smith lead the Crusaders with 6 kills. Kaylee Ginnings and Kiara Govan contributed 6 and 13 assists, respectively.  

After a disappointing lost against Clearwater, the Crusaders found redemption against Robert Morris University in the second match of the day. TTU swept RMU in three straight sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-13).  Kiara Govan finished with 25 assists and 9 digs.  Kaylee Ginnings and Victoria Smith had 10 digs, and Natasha Petrillo had 9 digs.  Shatoya Medford lead the defense with 15 digs.  For the Crusaders offense, Victoria Smith lead with 11 kills.  Natasha Petrillo followed with 8 kills, and Lydia Vick contributed 7 kills.  

The next match is Monday, September 23 at 7:00 pm against Oakwood University.
