• Tennessee Temple opened its baseball season Tuesday with 7-2 and 8-7 losses at Maryville College. The Crusaders led the second game 6-0 but were tied at 7 in the bottom of the seventh inning when a throwing error led to the Scots' winning run. Brandon Blome was 3-for-4 with an RBI double in that game for Temple, and Dustin Crumley had a two-run double. Trey Hill had two doubles and three RBIs for the Crusaders in the doubleheader.
The Crusaders will be back at it again on Wednesday as they travel to Cleveland to take on Lee University the Flames are ranked third in the NAIA pre-season poll. First pitch is at 3:00 EST
