The TTU Lady Crusaders Volleyball team will be hosting a volleyball tournament this weekend beginning tomorrow at 1:00. They will be eager to make a good showing on their home court especially after the exciting week of matches that they just completed.  On October 1st our Lady Crusaders fell to Toccoa Falls College leaving their record at 6-12. During the match our very own Lynncoya Gardner managed to have 8 kills, and 34 assists. Also Shatoya Medford was able to get 3 blocks and 9 kills, Rachel Binkley managed 10 kills, and last but certainly not least PJ Sexton was able to get 21 digs.  Though the early part of the week wasn't kind to our Lady Crusaders in the latter part of the week they were able to emerge with a "W" against Crown College. During the game Lynncoya Gardner got 18 assists, 4 aces, and 2 blocks. Shatoya Medford played phenomenally with 16 digs and 2 blocks, Kourtney Chorman got 8 kills, LaQuinta Gallishaw managed 5 kills, and 2 aces.

Participating in the tournament tomorrow are the following schools: Mid-Continent University, under Head Coach Brittany Nicley with a record of 7-8, Hiwassee College, under Head Coach Chris Cheek (No record listed), Trinity Baptist College (No Head Coach or Roster Listed), Victory University under Head Coach Crystal Hudson (No Record Listed), GA NW Technical College under Head Coach Carrie Hawkins-Powell (No Record Listed), Wallace State under Head Coach Randy Daniel with a record of 13-3, and finally Oakwood University (No head coach listed and No Record Listed.) I want to encourage our student body to come out and watch the exciting matchups in the upcoming tournament, and also give support for our Lady Crusaders.
