Saturday afternoon at Taccoa Falls College, the Crusaders won the first game of the double header 9 to 3. Trailing 3-0 going to the top of the 7th, Temple exploded for 3 runs to tie the game with Jonny Herrera's solo homer and Robby Mcintire's 2-run double. Temple added 6 runs in the top of the 8th with an offensive effort led by Herrera's go ahead single and pinch hitter Tom Chessheir's 2-run double. David Adair pitched a scoreless 8th for the win.
Taccoa came back and won the second game 10 to 7. After the Crusaders had an early 4 to 1 lead, Taccoa tied the game at 7 runs, and then scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning off of Temple's reliever Josh Daniel for the victory. In game 2, Temple was led by Robby McIntire 3 for 4 with 2 runs, and Joseph Del Rosario 3 for 5 with 3 RBI.
TTU has a 15 win and 17 loss record and plays NAIA 12th ranked Berry College at Rome, GA on Wednesday.
