Tennessee Temple Crusaders took the last of five lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against OSU-Lima, securing a 5-4 victory on Saturday at Marion County.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders pulled out the win thanks to a strong sixth inning. A groundout by Chase White (FR) scored Trey Hill (JR/Jasper, TN) and gave Tennessee Temple Crusaders the lead for good.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders would not relinquish the lead as OSU-Lima was unable to weather a three-run sixth inning deficit.

 

OSU-Lima scored one run in the seventh on. Still, OSU-Lima couldn't catch Tennessee Temple Crusaders.

   

Chase White recorded the win for Tennessee Temple Crusaders. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered two hits.

 

Austin Cobb was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out five.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders closer Micah Wyatt (FR/Lafayette, GA) put away the final three outs to record the save.

 

In the top of the first, OSU-Lima grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Dylan Clifton-Lofton singled to start things off before Ryan Jerome singled, bringing home#5. OSU-Lima added more runs when Schmook scored on a fielder's choice.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders answered OSU-Lima's top inning with three runs of its own in the first. Tennessee Temple Crusaders scored on an RBI single by Ryan Bruce (SR/Lawrenceville, GA), an error, and an RBI single by Caleb Lee (FR/Oneida, TN).

Tennessee Temple Crusaders tops OSU-Lima in back-and-forth affair, 4-3

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders and OSU-Lima volleyed the lead five times on Saturday, but Tennessee Temple Crusaders came out on top for a 4-3 win on Saturday.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. Tennessee Temple Crusaders went up for good on an RBI single by Micah Wyatt off Pestello, bringing home Caden Shadrick (SR/Jasper, TN).

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders held off OSU-Lima, as OSU-Lima was unable to overcome a two-run sixth inning deficit.

 

OSU-Lima scored one run in the seventh on an RBI single by Joey Schmook. Unfortunately, OSU-Lima wasn't able to take the lead back.

 

Hunter Giles (SR/South Pittsburg, TN) got the win for Tennessee Temple Crusaders. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out 11, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

 

Pestello was charged with the loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.

 

The top of the first saw OSU-Lima take an early lead, 1-0. Schmook doubled to ignite OSU-Lima's offense. A passed ball then moved Schmook from second to third.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders survived OSU-Lima's surge and put up one run of its own in the first. Tennessee Temple Crusaders scored on a groundout by Trey Hill.

 

OSU-Lima brought home one run in the third inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the third, OSU-Lima scored on an RBI single by Dylan Clifton-Lofton, scoring #15.

 

Tennessee Temple Crusaders tied the game in the fourth on an RBI single by Caleb Lee that scored Hill.
