Men's Soccer - Tue, Sep. 30, 2014

The Tennessee Temple men's Soccer team pushed their season record back to .500 (4-4) with a 7-1 rout over North Carolina's Warren Wilson College. Freshman William Gonzalez started the scoring off after bursting down the right side and firing into the top corner. A few moments later, Tad Whitaker doubled the advantage as he beat the offside trap and slotted the ball home from close range.

The Crusaders were not yet finished, and a smart cross from midfielder Keegan Wilkinson allowed Gerardo Mondragon to tap in for his first of the day and send the boys into half-time with a comfortable 3-0 lead.

The drubbing continued in the second half as Mario Paiva, who also recorded two assists in the game, scored twice to take the score line to 5-0 and put the game beyond the reach of the opposition. Mondragon latched onto a through ball to notch his second of the game, and secure his position as Temple's leading scorer on the season. Coming off the bench,

A late consolation came for Warren Wilson in a game that they were simply outclassed. A notable mention should go to freshman midfield player, Oliver Laycock, who also made two assists.

Next, the Crusader's travel to Pulaski, Tennessee to test themselves against Martin Methodist College (4) who were last year's NAIA National Champions (Sep 30th 7:00PM EST). The game will be streamed at
