 The Tennessee Temple men's basketball team ended its season Thursday night with a 98-71 loss to second-seeded Union University in the National Christian College Athletic Association Mid-East Region semifinals at Bluefield, Va. Elliot Johnson had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Darius Davis and Hampton Mack scored 15 and 13 points for Temple (21-13), while Ashanti Day and Corieon Pearson scored 21 and 20 for Union, a provisional NCAA Division II member. Top-seeded Bluefield beat Hiwassee 83-67 behind 21 points, six assists and three steals from Kearsten Marion. Howie Meadows and David Lane led Hiwassee (6-19) with five and four 3-point baskets and 17 points apiece. Temple's Lady Crusaders took on No. 1-ranked Lee University in the women's NCCAA Mid-East regional late Friday night in Jackson, Tenn.
