Women's Outdoor Track & Field - Wed, Mar. 13, 2013

1st year Head Coach Emmanuel Awotula said that he was "proud and excited to be apart of TTU's history." This past weekend The Crusaders and Lady Crusaders ran in their ever track meet. Tennessee Temple's Marissa Phinazee, a former Red Bank High School standout, was the National Christian College Athletic Association women's track and field athlete of the week for her two eighth-place sprint finishes at the Southern Invitational meet hosted last weekend by Birmingham-Southern College. She was eighth out of 60-plus runners in both the 100-meter (12.54) and 200-meter (25.98) dashes, in each case with six of the seven ahead of her from NCAA Division I schools. Teammate Adrian Martin was 15th in the 100.
