Women's Basketball - Tue, Jan. 13, 2009
The Tennessee Temple University Women's Basketball Team got back to their winning ways on Tuesday with a 68-55 victory over Atlanta Christian. The Crusaders showed a strong defensive effort holding Atlanta Christian to only 20 first half points in route to a 40-20 halftime lead.
The Crusaders cruised home to the 68-55 victory and as a result improved their record on the season to 14-7. The Crusaders were led in scoring by Shontale Wells 14 and Christina Barnes chipped in with 11 for the Crusaders. Atlanta Christian was led in scoring by Chauntel Harrod who led all scorers with 17. The Crusaders will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Nashville to take on Fisk University.Athletic Links
